Reba McEntire recently shared a heartfelt update on how Kelly Clarkson’s children are coping after the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock.

According to Reba, “everybody’s hanging in there.” She explained that while the loss remains deeply painful for the family, Kelly and the children are taking things one day at a time.

Reba spoke warmly about the close bond the family has maintained, saying they all stay connected through a large family text chain, where they regularly share memories, stories, and loving thoughts about Brandon. She described him as someone full of life, joy, and humor, remembering him as a prankster who brought energy to everyone around him.

Most touching of all, Reba noted that the children — including Kelly’s two kids, River Rose and Remington (“Remy”) — have been leaning on one another and growing closer as a family during this difficult time. She said they are bonding together and spending more time with each other, which has become an important source of comfort.

Kelly herself has also shared a rare glimpse into life at home, saying that some of her most meaningful moments now come from snuggling with her children and having quiet conversations with them at night. Those small daily moments, she said, have become especially precious.

Overall, Reba’s message was one of grief, resilience, and family closeness: the children are still mourning their father, but they are surrounded by love and support as they continue healing together.
